Phase Breakdown
Phase 1
Idea Ignition
- Online Submission -
Applicants will provide submissions and enter the selection process before moving onto the next phase.
Mission
Craft a compelling business executive summary tackling the assigned problem statement for the state.
Phase 2
The Hackathon
- From Concept to Creation -
For Phase 2, only the top 50 applicants from each state/city will be invited to join the in-person hackathon.
Mission
Collaboratively work on the given problem statement, transforming it into a tangible solution.
Phase 3
The Demo Day
- Showcasing the Best Across Malaysia -
Finally, for Phase 3, the best 2 teams from each of the four states will converge in Kuala Lumpur for a joint Demo Day.
Mission
Pitch their business ideas in front of a distinguished panel of judges, which includes but not limited to venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and founders.
Hackathon Program Overview
Programme Objectives
● Students will pick up technical skills and soft skills by experiencing what it means to be a co-founder.● Students are expected to demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset over the course of the programme, as well as pick up startup best practices such as user-centric design, lean methodology, validation and value creation.● At the end of the bootcamp, students will deliver an abridged investor pitch deck with an accompanying mock-up, centered around a selected theme to showcase the suggested solutions.
Participation Requirement
Prerequisites
● Participants must be under 30 years old
● Participants must be students of an institute of higher learning (Diploma, Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Malaysia
● Student ideas can be new or existing, but must not be incorporated yet
● Students are required to submit their business summary on our follow up prompt email
●For grouped participants, only maximum of 5 members are allowed
*Participants will be sent a Thinkific invitation to submit their summary upon registering
Submission
All business summaries are required to be submitted through the given Thinkific platformOnly max of 5-slides are allowed, containing :
● Cover Page
● Problem statement
● Solution
● Revenue Model
● Team Introduction
*Selected Individuals will be grouped with other individuals of a similar idea for Phase 2

How do we communicate our startup idea to a panel of judges?How do we field questions from a panel and audience?
During this capstone activity, teams will showcase their prototypes to
the entire cohort. Teams will partake in friendly competition, with
winning teams being judged on quality of insights, as well as degree of
execution.Parents may be invited to watch their children complete this capstone
activity.
